the Crystal Space
By way of introduction

I am a lady in my middle years, living on the outer fringes of the Home Counties.

I am a single lady, a status which I have only recently attained.

I am a mother twice over, and also a grandmother, a status which I have attained even more recently than that of singledom.

I have been told (in the last month) that I am beautiful, sexually exciting, ‘fucking gorgeous’ and that I have a phenomenal brain. I report the first three adjectives merely as hearsay. It would be immodest of me to lay any claim to their accuracy, although I will say that the gentlemen who used them provided ample evidence of their own sincerity. The phenomenality of my brain I will, however, freely acknowledge.

I have a penchant for gentlemen a decade or so younger than myself, and am always gratified to find that my enthusiasm is returned, contrary to conventional stereotypes of relations between the sexes.

I have been a blogger in Another Place for four and a half years now. (I also, briefly, attempted an erotic blog in Another Other Place, but least said…) I strayed into these realms through Googling a quote from John Betjeman, which led me to the estimable ‘Only For Now’, an event which I can only describe as serendipitous. The playing of the eponymous song from Avenue Q (which I hadn’t heard before) reflected perfectly my own recent emotional state. And so, I found myself compelled to set up (yet another) blog of my own.
